Our mission extends beyond our physical church, as we seek to help those in need, feed the hungry, comfort the sick, and support the lonely. Service is at the core of our mission, as we actively seek to meet the needs of others and make a positive impact in our local communities. By living out Christ's teachings of selflessness and compassion, we hope to bring healing and hope to all who come through our doors.

Our History
New Vision was birthed on July 1, 2000 at the home of Rev. Wilmer James and Loretta Carter. As a leader, Pastor Carter had always believed in Proverbs 29:18 which states that, "Where there is no vision, the people perish." God confirmed over and over again that he was pleased with the organization of this church. The newly birthed church held its first prayer service on July 5, 2000 at the Waynesboro City Auditorium.
From the beginning New Vision was a full-time ministry and "seed offerings" have always been a part of the ministry. Pastor Carter always taught on the importance of giving and led by example. New Vision held it's first Sunday Service on July 9, 2000 and its first baptism on September 16, 2000. God richly blessed New Vision physically and spiritually while under the leadership of Pastor Carter. God allowed the ministry to move from a storefront (702 Wayne Street Waynesboro, MS) to a place where everyone would see that God is real and He will surely provide (7600 Hwy 84 East Waynesboro, MS). Sixteen ministers were birthed under the leadership of Pastor Carter; 14 of which Pastor Carter had the pleasure of witnessing their first sermon.
God saw that Pastor Carter's work was done and chose to give him rest. Pastor Carter transitioned from this life on January 4, 2014. He left with many awesome teachings and example of how to live a life that will draw others to Christ. A few of his memorable sermons include:

New Vision will forever be grateful for the foundation God gave the ministry through Pastor Carter. Pastor Carter sacrificed his time, gave his all, and believed that New Vision was because God is.
Our Pastor
Ricky B. Chambers Sr., the son of Girtha Chambers and the late Richard E. Chambers became the Pastor of New Vision in 2014 after the transition of Pastor W.J. Carter. Pastor Chambers accepted his call into the ministry in 1998. He was Pastor Carter's first son in the gospel. Pastor Chambers remained faithful to New Vision Ministry and his spiritual father until he was called to pastor in 2008.
After being by God to New Vision Ministry again in 2014, Pastor Chambers has made it his priority to remind the people that God has called us to holiness and freedom. He continues to instill the Word of God in his people and challenges them to press into the presence of God.
Pastor Chambers continues to remind his people that God is to be praised and worshipped regardless of the circumstances they may find themselves in. He challenges his people to remember that "It's Happening For Them, Not To Them" (Romans 8:28). New Vision is excited and grateful that God chose to give us another piece of His heart to lead us in the way God would have us to go.
